Per celebrare l’appuntamento annuale del Maggio dei Monumenti 2021, Destination Naples presenta “Napoli Preziosissima”
In tale occasione sono previste visite guidate, con guide autorizzate, ogni sabato mattina durante il mese di maggio, per scoprire il borgo medievale degli orefici e delle antiche botteghe tessili. L’itinerario illustrerà:
– come nasce un gioiello dalle mani degli artigiani;
– la Chiesa gotica di Sant’Eligio, protettore degli artigiani
– il busto di Marianna, nella chiesa romanica di San Giovanni a Mare
– la piazzetta degli Orefici con il Crocifisso ligneo
– le botteghe degli artigiani, il pronto soccorso orafo ed altre curiosità.
La visita illustra una delle zone più antiche della città che da oltre 700 anni custodisce storia, tesori e preziose produzioni orafe, che ancora oggi sono proposte dalle imprese del Consorzio Borgo Orefici. Nel corso dell’itinerario, verranno anche indicate altre secolari attività e tradizioni artigianali del quartiere, come quella delle Antiche Botteghe Tessili di Piazza Mercato.

Destination Naples presents “Napoli Preziosissima” (Most Precious Naples) to celebrate the annual May of Monuments 2021 appointment.
On this occasion there are guided tours, with authorized guides, every Saturday morning during the month of May, to discover the medieval village of goldsmiths and ancient textile shops. The itinerary will illustrate:
– how a jewel is made from the hands of artisans;
– the Gothic Church of Sant’Eligio, protector of artisans
– the bust of Marianna, in the Romanesque church of San Giovanni a Mare
– the small square of the Orefici with the wooden Crucifix
– the workshops of the artisans, the goldsmith first aid and other curiosities.
The visit illustrates one of the oldest areas of the city which for over 700 years has preserved history, treasures and precious goldsmith productions, still offered today by the companies of the Borgo Orefici Consortium. During the itinerary, other centuries-old activities and craft traditions of the neighborhood will also be indicated, such as that of the Ancient Textile Shops in Piazza Mercato.
